UX & Visual Designer

As a young UX, design and development shop, we’re entering our 4th year in business. We’ve experienced really great growth both in revenue as well as in the level of customer we’ve been able to attract.

We’re a small, tight knit group building the best product experiences we can for our customers. We believe strongly in the sustainability of our team and our customers, and as a result we’re on the hunt for a great, entrepreneurial spirited UX and Visual Designer to help us deliver some important projects  

Our hope is that we can find a person that is not only a great designer but someone who can present work to stakeholders in a fun and confident way.

Your strengths

  • Ability to align business goals, customer needs, and technological capabilities to create solutions that are scalable
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale to stakeholders
  • Ability to translate customer data and insights into design decisions, improvements, and opportunities
  • Detail-oriented and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of user experience and user interface design principles, best practices, and user-centered and design thinking methodologies
  • Ability to contribute to the planning and conducting of usability studies and research activities
  • Keen to share knowledge with a willingness to coach, mentor and teach others
  • A deep understanding of end-to-end product design processes, including journey mapping, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, high-fidelity designs and final exportable creative assets
  • Familiar with capabilities of front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Firm understanding of responsive web

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree in fine art, design, interaction design, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, user experience or user interface design for an eCommerce brand
  • Strong expertise in common design tools (i.e. Sketch, Figma, InVision, Abstract, etc.) 
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude
  • A rigorous philosophy of using user research and data to develop products followed by uncompromising user-centered design
  • An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious 
  • A point of view on framing and solving user problems, and a rich understanding of a range of contemporary design tools and methods 
  • Strong project management and prioritization experience, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at a time
  • A portfolio of work that showcases user-centered design solutions and is not just final design work
  • You care about the quality of work you deliver
